Join the Garden Lab and we’ll provide you with your own garden plot, all necessary tools and other materials, and step-by-step guidance on growing throughout the year.

What Can You Expect?

The Garden Lab is a multi-month guided gardening experience. We’ll meet for a workshop each month throughout the main growing season. You’ll also be free to visit the garden at your leisure to tend, water, weed and harvest through the end of October. The workshops will cover:

February 28

meet for the first time as a community, learn gardening basics and start the planning process

March 21

plant spring vegetables and flowers to bring pollinators all season (community planting 1 of 3)

April 4

plant long-lasting crops with a focus on succession planting (this bonus workshop is community planting 2 of 3)

April 18

plant summer vegetables, fruits and herbs (community planting 3 of 3)

May 16

watering techniques and pest management, with a hands-on session for building support structures
6

June 20

supporting soil strength mid-season + harvesting practices
7

July 18

plant seasonality, yearlong growing in Portugal + a celebration of the group's successes
8

August - October

Once the formal workshops conclude, you can visit the garden during the warmest summer months to continue harvesting and spending time at the land.

16 m2 Plot

Get ready to tend your own piece of land for a year, where everything you grow is yours to keep.

Seeds, Seedlings, Compost
& Mulch

We include all organic seeds and seedlings as well compost and mulch to protect and nourish the soil.

Access to the Community Shed and Tools

Not quite ready to invest in a shovel, spade, hoe, rake, clippers, hand fork, watering can and more? We have everything you need on site.

Community Planting Sessions

We’re in this together. If you’ve never put a seed in the ground, never fear. We’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Community Gatherings

Imagine dining and dancing in the garden by candlelight. As a member, you’re invited to our intimate gatherings where we celebrate together under the stars.

On-Site and Online Guidance

Through regular on-site office hours and virtual updates, we guide you on what needs to happen at every stage of your garden’s development.
